Our 8-Step Rug Cleaning Process

Step 1: Pre-Inspection & Pick-Up

We will determine as much as we possibly can about the type of rug and inherent qualities that may affect the cleaning results. We will outline the expected cleaning results. We will come to your house to pick up your rug with discounts given for rugs being rolled and ready. If you prefer to drop your rug off, we will work that into our schedule.

Step 2: Dry Soil Removal

We use a variety of tools and techniques to properly dust the rug from front to back. We utilize our state-of-the-art Wolverine Rug Duster, as well as specialty vacuum attachments for maximum dry soil removal.

Step 3: Pre-Condition

Depending on the fiber content and soiling type, the rug will be pre-treated to emulsify the soils.

Step 4: Pre-Spot & Fringe Preparation

Any particularly difficult spots will be pre-treated with special solutions to increase the chances of removal. The fringe is also treated for maximum soil removal.

Step 5: Wash

Cleaning procedures and equipment ensure that your rug will be cleaned gently and thoroughly. Our rug washing solutions not only provide a thorough cleaning but will ensure that cross contamination and dye transfer is not a concern.

Step 6: Rinse

Our equipment is known to be one of the most successful rug-wringers in the industry. It is known to remove over 90% of moisture in 3 minutes or less. It is also an exceptional tool for removing urine and other contaminants from your rug.

Step 7: Dry and Finish

Once the cleaning process is complete the rug is hung on our dry rack for final drying in a controlled environment. When the rug is completely dry, it is combed and finished with soft groomers made for specialty rugs.

Premium fiber protection is highly recommended at this stage. We use Fiber ProTector America (click for more information) — industry-known as the finest protection system available.

Step 8: Post Inspection and Delivery

We will give your rug a final inspection and prepare it for delivery. Your rug will be appropriately wrapped to protect it from dust and environmental soils until it is delivered. Upon delivery, we will lay the rug for you.
