Spills on carpet, rugs, upholstery, and other fabrics are inevitable. The spot remover you use matters.
As a professional cleaner, Bill has seen the problems common grocery-store spot removers can cause. Some leave sticky residue. Others are too aggressive and may affect carpet protector or even cause color damage.
That is why Prestige Carpet Care recommends Home Pro Spotter.
After every cleaning appointment, Prestige leaves a free 12-ounce bottle of Home Pro Spotter with every client as a courtesy.
What Makes This Spotter Better?
Home Pro Spotter is a professional-grade neutral pH cleaner. That means it is designed to clean effectively without leaving the kind of sticky, soapy residue common with many store-bought spot removers.
Sticky residue can cause rapid re-soiling in the treated area, which is why some spots seem to “come back” after being cleaned with the wrong product.
Some store-bought spotters can also be too aggressive. They may remove beneficial carpet protector from the fibers or even contribute to color damage.
Home Pro Spotter is effective, non-toxic, odorless, colorless, non-flammable, biodegradable, fast drying, and made in the USA.
It can be used on many common spots and stains on carpets, rugs, upholstery, and even clothing.
Free Bottle After Every Cleaning Appointment
Prestige clients love having a professional-grade spot remover available at home for quick response to spills.
Because immediate action is one of the most important parts of successful spot removal, having the right product on hand can make a big difference.
How to Use Home Pro Spotter
Always test fabric or fiber for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area before using any spot remover.
Step 1: Remove Solids and Blot Liquids
If there is solid material such as food, remove it gently with a scraping tool or spoon. Always scrape toward the center of the spill so you do not spread the affected area.
Blot any liquid with a clean absorbent cloth or white paper towel.
Step 2: Apply the Spotter
Apply Home Pro Spotter directly to the stained area, but avoid over-saturating the fibers. Allow it to penetrate for about 60 seconds.
For upholstery or delicate fabrics, apply Home Pro Spotter to a cloth first, then gently blot the stain.
Step 3: Blot the Area
Blot the area with a clean absorbent cloth or white paper towel. The liquid containing the stain should transfer into the cloth.
Important: Always blot carpeting — never scrub. Scrubbing carpet can cause fiber damage.
Important Spot Removal Notes
Special precautions are necessary if the stain was caused by pet urine. Pet urine can affect the color of carpet dyes and may require professional attention.
There is usually no need to rinse with water.
Other cleaning products may set a stain. Prestige cannot guarantee effectiveness on stains that have already been treated with another cleaning product.
Never mix Home Pro Spotter with another cleaning product.
What Types of Stains Can It Clean?
Home Pro Spotter is highly effective on many common spots, including food stains, beer, soft drinks, milk, fruit juice, coffee, tea, egg, grease, dirt, grass, mud, soil, chocolate, gravy, ice cream, jelly, spaghetti, wine, and more.
